Meet Dr. Tim Pierce
Dr. Timothy Pierce — "Dr. Tim" — was born in Philadelphia during his father's orthodontic residency and has lived in the Lowcountry for almost 50 years! He graduated from the Porter-Gaud School in 1990 and from Furman University in 1994 where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
After graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine in 1998, Dr. Tim returned to Philadelphia to complete his specialist training and received his Certificate in Orthodontics from Temple University in 2000.
While at Temple University, he also received a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology in the subject of investigative cellular research.
Outside of the Office
Apart from his work designing Mt. Pleasant smiles, Dr. Tim taught part-time for several years at the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine, Department of Orthodontics, where he was an associate professor.
He and his wife, Dr. Daphne Pierce, reside in Mt. Pleasant with their two children. Dr. Tim loves the Lowcountry area and enjoys the beaches, the outdoors, and the wonderful culture.
Memberships & Awards
Dr. Tim has a specialty license in South Carolina and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the South Carolina Orthodontic Association. Recently, Dr. Tim was also honored with the award of Best Orthodontist in Mt. Pleasant.
